QR Station – Art Room

An inspirational setting for art and design lessons for Years 3-6. A detailed curriculum covering many different mediums is taught to children by the Head of Department and encompasses artistic techniques, design, and engineering projects that can connect with Science of IT. Each year children in Years 4-6 also spend six weeks in a dedicated Cookery class too.

A growing number of children are focusing on Art Scholarships and creating their portfolios. There have been recent scholarships awarded in both Art and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) to senior schools as well as successes at a regional level in Art, and second places in STEM at a national level.
