“When I came to Nursery, I remember being a bit shy, but I grew so much in confidence because the teachers believed in me….and now I’m going to senior school knowing who I am.” (current Year 6 pupil)
Passionate Teaching
As part of our Early Years (EYFS) your young child will be taught by specialist teachers in French, Music, Drama, Yoga and Sports from their very first week and they will use the amazing facilities across the site – the sports hall, drama studio, music room, Forest School, playground and more to develop their love of Expressive Arts and Design, and to help progress their physical development.
Developing life-long learners
They will begin to read, to make marks, to write their name, become enthralled by the maths around them and make connections across their learning. Their personal, social and emotional development is nurtured by well-qualified and caring staff, to make the most of each day and each learning opportunity for every child.
All your child’s teachers will engage them in conversation, sharing books and reading stories, to help them develop all important communication and language skills and will actively engage with your child to help them to understand the world around them, joining in and exploring their interests with them.
You will be treated to wonderful performances throughout the year with full technological support from the school’s extremely well-resourced IT team and you will get regular electronic updates on your child’s progress from EYFS staff who are knowledgeable about your child and are happy to meet with you informally and at regular parents’ evenings.
The first step for a bright future!
We take Nursery seriously by making it a happy and fulfilling experience for our youngest children so that they grow in confidence, are excited by their learning across all EYFS areas, and make the most of every single day with us!
“I know the amazing start I had at Nursery here has given me the tools to do my very best and that has helped me gain multiple scholarship offers to senior school for next year.” (current Year 6 pupil)
