Last week, Littlegarth School claimed the title of Regional Champions once again, an incredible 20th consecutive victory, at the ISA East Anglia Regional Swimming Championships at Crown Pools, Ipswich. The girls and boys combined were overall champions for the 20th year; the girls on their own were placed first in the girls’ teams whilst the boys were placed second in the boys’ teams.
Littlegarth swimmers will next represent East Anglia in eleven events at the upcoming National Finals in November, to be held at London’s iconic Aquatics Centre, home of the 2012 Olympic Games.
Meanwhile, after placing second nationally in the ISA e-Sports Competition earlier this year, Littlegarth’s talented e-Sports team was invited to represent the UK at the International Finals in Malta where the team has advanced to the semi-finals.
Headteacher Kathy Uttley said:
“We are immensely proud of our pupils’ achievements this week. To be crowned regional swimming champions for the twentieth consecutive year is an extraordinary milestone, and to see our e-Sports team performing so brilliantly on the international stage is equally inspiring. Both teams exemplify the Littlegarth spirit — striving for excellence, supporting one another, and enjoying every moment of the challenge. As the swimmers prepare for the national stage and the e-Sports team chases international glory, the whole Littlegarth community celebrates a week that perfectly captures the school’s commitment to perseverance, collaboration, and excellence”.
