It has been a week of remarkable achievement for Littlegarth School, as pupils excelled both in the swimming pool and in the world of e-Sports — showcasing the school’s diverse talent, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Regional Swimming Champions Once Again
Today, Littlegarth proudly hosted the ISA East Anglia Regional Swimming Championships at Crown Pools, Ipswich. In a display of determination and sporting excellence, Littlegarth once again claimed the title of Regional Champions — for the 20th consecutive year.
The girls’ team retained their crown as Regional Champions, continuing a legacy of dominance built on skill, effort, and dedication. The boys’ team also shone brightly, securing second place after a series of thrilling races.
Their collective success means Littlegarth will go on to represent East Anglia in no fewer than eleven events at the National Finals in November, which will take place at the iconic London Aquatics Centre, home of the 2012 Olympic Games.
This outstanding performance reflects not only the pupils’ hard work but also the dedication of the school’s coaching staff and the supportive spirit of the Littlegarth community.
e-Sports Team Triumphs on the International Stage
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away in Malta, Littlegarth’s talented e-Sports team are making waves of their own. After achieving a stunning second place nationally in the ISA e-Sports Competition earlier this year, the team were invited to represent the UK in the International Finals.
Their first day of competition could not have gone better — after winning all three of their opening matches, Littlegarth have progressed to the semi-finals, which take place tomorrow evening. The team’s success on this global stage is a testament to their strategy, teamwork, and calm under pressure.
Celebrating a Week of Excellence
From the pool to the pixels, this week has shown the breadth of talent at Littlegarth School. Whether competing in traditional sports or embracing new frontiers of competition, Littlegarth pupils continue to embody the school’s values of perseverance, collaboration, and excellence.
Headteacher Kathy Uttley said:
“We are immensely proud of our pupils’ achievements this week. To be crowned regional swimming champions for the twentieth consecutive year is an extraordinary milestone, and to see our e-Sports team performing so brilliantly on the international stage is equally inspiring. Both teams exemplify the Littlegarth spirit — striving for excellence, supporting one another, and enjoying every moment of the challenge.”
As the swimmers prepare for the National Finals and the e-Sports team aim for international glory, the whole Littlegarth community will be cheering them on.
