Our Reception classes had a truly special morning welcoming parents into school for a wonderful French session with Madame Johns.
The children loved sharing their learning as they sang a familiar French song with great enthusiasm, filling the Drama studio with smiles, confidence, and a lot of energy! They also listened carefully to a French story, enjoying the sounds of the language and proudly recognising animal words they already knew.
One of the highlights of the morning was joining their parents for a range of brilliant, hands-on activities. Together, they explored French-themed games and creative tasks, giving parents a lovely insight into how languages are introduced in Reception through play, music, and storytelling.
It was a great session that celebrated learning, language, and partnership between home and school. Thank you to all the parents who joined us—and a big merci! to Madame Johns for another inspiring French experience.
