We were delighted to welcome Kimba, an inspiring poet, author and rapper, to our school for a truly memorable visit that left pupils buzzing with creativity and excitement.
Kimba began the day with an energetic and engaging whole-school assembly, where he shared his passion for poetry, storytelling and music. Through rhythm, rhyme and powerful performance, he showed pupils how words can be used to express feelings, tell stories and build confidence. His enthusiasm was infectious, and the children were completely captivated from start to finish.

Following the assembly, Kimba led interactive workshops with Years 2 and 3, giving pupils the opportunity to explore language in a fun and creative way. The children experimented with rhyme, rhythm and wordplay, creating their own pieces of poetry and performance. Kimba’s encouraging approach helped every child feel confident to share ideas and have a go.
The workshops were filled with laughter, imagination and creativity, and it was wonderful to see pupils so engaged and proud of their work. The children left feeling inspired to write, perform and play with words long after the sessions ended.
Kimba’s visit was a fantastic experience and we would like to thank him for such an inspirational visit!
